Website privacy policy

This is a translation for convenience. The German version is legally binding.

This privacy policy applies to the marketing website for "Time K" (hereinafter "this website"). A separate privacy policy for the app applies to data processing in the "Time K" app.

We have not appointed a separate data protection officer; there is currently no legal obligation to do so.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted as a static website with the following provider:

Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Deutschland.
Server location: Helsinki, Finland (European Union).

When you access this website, our web server automatically stores the following information in server log files:

• the shortened IP address of the requesting device (for IPv4 the last byte is removed, for IPv6 everything after the first 48 bits),
• the date and time of access,
• the page / file accessed (URL),
• referrer URL,
• the browser and operating system used,
• the amount of data transferred and the HTTP status code.

This data is processed solely to ensure trouble-free operation, to guarantee IT security (e.g. defence against attacks) and for the statistical evaluation of technical operation. It is not combined with other data sources, and individual persons are not identified.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website).
Storage period: The log files are automatically deleted after 14 days.
The evaluation is limited to counts, such as how often the link to the beta was accessed.

3. No cookies, no tracking, no analytics services

This website uses no cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking purposes and integrates no web analytics or tracking services (e.g. Google Analytics). No profiles of usage behaviour are created. Consent (a cookie banner) is therefore not required.

Fonts are served locally from our own server (self-hosted). In doing so, no connection is made to external providers such as Google Fonts; in particular, no data is transferred to third parties.

4. Encryption (TLS)

For security reasons, this website uses TLS/SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in the address bar of your browser.

5. Contacting us by email

If you contact us by email (e.g. at mail@knabe-gmbh.de or via a support contact provided on the website), we process the data you provide (in particular your email address, name and the content of the message) in order to handle your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures / initiation of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Storage period: We delete the data as soon as the request has been conclusively dealt with and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.

6. Redirection to Apple TestFlight

"Time K" is currently provided as a beta via Apple's TestFlight. When you click a button such as "Test the beta" on this website, you are redirected to a page operated by Apple (testflight.apple.com or the TestFlight app). From that point on, Apple's privacy policy applies. We have no influence over the data processing that takes place there.

On Android devices the button instead leads to the Android beta on our own server (time-k.com/web/android); section 2 of this policy applies there. Whether you use an iPhone, an Android device or a computer is detected only locally in your browser from the device identifier (user agent); this information is neither transmitted nor stored for this purpose.

7. No automated decision-making

Automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, does not take place on this website.

Under the GDPR, you have in particular the following rights:

• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
