Community rules

This is a translation for convenience. The German version is legally binding.

Crews from many airlines meet in Time K. To keep it pleasant and safe for everyone, the following rules apply to the destination chat, crew tips, ratings, comments and profile pictures. They are part of the Terms of use (Section 6). You accept them before you check in, add a tip, comment or upload a profile picture for the first time.

In short

• Be respectful. We have zero tolerance for insults, harassment, hate speech and threats.
• No hotel names, room numbers or pick-up times, and no private data of others.
• Only a photo of yourself as your profile picture.
• Tips only from your own experience and without advertising.
• Nothing illegal.

1. Respect

No insults, no harassment, no discrimination – for example based on origin, skin colour, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, airline or position on board. No threats and no sexual remarks towards others. If someone does not want to be contacted any more, respect that.

2. Safety and privacy

• Do not mention hotel names, room numbers, pick-up or transfer times or any other details that reveal exactly where crew are staying.
• Do not share other people's private data: no phone numbers, addresses, rosters, photos or names of people who do not want this themselves.
• No company internals: no security-relevant procedures, codes, access data or confidential information of any airline.
• Do not push anyone towards behaviour that breaks rest, alcohol or safety rules.

Time K itself never shows a hotel, room or pick-up time. If you write "hotel", "room" or a room number, the app reminds you of this rule before sending.

3. Profile pictures

Only upload a photo of yourself – no photos of other people, no logos or brands, nothing offensive. A new profile picture is visible to others immediately. If a profile picture is reported, we hide it immediately and review it.

4. Crew tips, ratings and comments

• Only add places you know yourself and write in your own words. Do not copy texts or reviews from other websites.
• No advertising and no tips about places you are commercially connected to or for which you receive anything in return.
• Rate honestly. Each person has exactly one rating per tip.
• We review new tips before publication to check that they follow these rules. We do not check whether someone has actually visited a place. Ratings come exclusively from signed-in users of Time K.

5. No spam, nothing illegal

No advertising, chain letters, prize draws or mass messages. Nothing that breaks the law – for example depictions of violence, extremist content, child sexual abuse material, trading in drugs or weapons, or infringements of copyright or personality rights.

6. Reporting, blocking and what happens next

• Report: Long-press a message or use "Report" on tips, comments, profile pictures and people. Reported content is hidden for everyone immediately.
• Review: A human reviews every report, as a rule within 24 hours, and either restores or removes the content. The person concerned never learns who reported it.
• Consequences: Depending on severity we remove the content, ban the person from the destination chat temporarily or permanently, or block the account. For serious violations such as threats or illegal content we act without prior warning.
• Reasons and objection: If we hide, remove or reject your content or restrict your account, you receive an email stating the reasons and you can object.
• Block: After that, neither of you sees the other's messages and comments. They are not notified.
• Word filter: Messages containing words from a block list are not sent.
• Misuse of reporting: At most five reports per day are possible. If someone repeatedly reports without good reason, their reports no longer hide content automatically; they are still reviewed.

7. Contact

We also accept notices of illegal content without an account: mail@knabe-gmbh.de (German or English). Please tell us where the content is (destination, date, display name), why you consider it illegal, and your name and email address. We confirm receipt and inform you of our decision. If life or limb is in danger, contact the local police first.
